Dr Muna Noori is a Consultant Obstetrician and Sub-Specialist in Maternal and Fetal Medicine. She works at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, London, where she is also Head of Obstetrics.
Dr Noori graduated from Imperial College London and went on to complete specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in London and the North West Thames region.
During this time, she undertook postgraduate research at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and University College Hospital, London. Her PhD thesis examined the mechanisms that underlie the development of pre-eclampsia and high blood pressure in pregnancy, and she continues to maintain her research interests in maternal medicine.
Dr Noori underwent sub-specialist training in Maternal and Fetal medicine at the de Swiet Obstetric Medicine Centre and the Centre for Fetal Care, Queen Charlotte's & Chelsea Hospital, London.
Dr Noori is passionate about Obstetrics and takes pride in providing a high standard of care and a positive patient experience. She encourages patient involvement in their care, and is an advocate of patient choice. Her extensive experience in maternal medicine and high risk pregnancy care has equipped her with the skills to normalise pregnancy and childbirth whenever possible. She supports women who opt for vaginal birth after Caesarean section.
Her experience in pre-pregnancy counselling and caring for women who have previously had a traumatic birth experience will ensure that pregnancy care is individualised and that women are able to opt for the delivery method that is most appropriate for their circumstances.
